Great Recommendations For Your Fur Kids

Hi Tail Wag Wisdom visitors and welcome to my recommendations page!

As we find products we absolutely love and can live without you’ll find them on this recommendations page.

With the pet industry expected to top $157 billion in 2025, there are a lot of products to review. So, we take our time to make sure that it meets our standards.

Here are a few of our favorite things!

Dental spray. It really has been a game-changer for Henry. I’m gratefully that with just dental spray Henry’s teeth has remained cleaned and he hasn’t needed a vet professional cleaning. This is the one I use for him.

Heartbeat toy. This simple gadget (along with a couple of other tricks you can find here) has made all the difference for Henry. He goes from high anxiety to calm as a cucumber. This one is very similar to the one Henry uses.

Water fountain. I know it seems like a luxury. But when you consider that clean, fresh water is critical for your buddy, then it’s a cost-effective investment. Henry loves his water and drinks significantly more from it than without it. This one is just like the one Henry adores.

Cuddle bed. Henry has a few cuddle beds. I wish I had one. If he has a slight amount of anxiety, he’ll go to one of his cuddle beds, curl up, and soon he’s calm again. It’s almost like a calming pacifier for a child. This one is just like the one Henry loves most.

Harness with a front and back hook as well as a handle. While the handle may only work well for a small dog, I have seen a petite woman contain her barking dog by holding onto the handle with both hands. For me, the handle is good if I need to pick up Henry quickly because there are loose dogs. The front hook is also very handy. If Henry is having a pulling day, or my back is worse, I simply switch the leash from the back to the front, and no more pulling. Genius! Here’s one very similar to the one I use for Henry.

Cooling vest. This is such a great gadget. I got Henry his first cooling vest not long after I adopted him. He’s generally fairly rough (or ruff) on them with summer hikes. So, I’ll get him a new one each fall. I’ve discovered that the ones that are longer, covers the chest, and have buckles rather than velcro work best and last longer. This one is very similar to one Henry has and loves!

Lick mat. Who knew that such a simple item could make such a difference? He loves his lick mats. I give him pumpkin on his lick mat with breakfast and dinner. They help him stay cognitively active and activate his saliva more to help with his teeth and mouth health. They can stick anywhere, including a tub when it’s bath day. Genius! These are very similar to the ones Henry loves!
